Professor Reijo Tuokko, Tampere University of Technology, Department of Production Engineering MCPC2009
Reijo Tuokko has been a Professor at Tampere University of Technology since 1990. Before his professorship he worked for 12 years in responsible positions in industry and for four years as Acting Associate Professor in Machine Automation in Lappeenranta and Tampere. Prof. Tuokko has 30 years experience in discrete manufacturing and production automation. He has been the program manager of two national Technology Programmes (LASSI –Light Assembly Industry 1996-1999 and SISU 2010 – Innovative Manufacture 2005-2009). Prof. Tuokko has strong experience in European and other international research collaboration, and he is also a member of the High Level Group of MANUFUTURE, the European technology platform on future manufacturing technologies. He is the author of over 200 technical and scientific publications in magazines, journals and conference proceedings. He is also the editor of several symposia and conference proceedings and has given several plenary, keynote and invited conference presentations.
